Terms of Service
Last updated: July 7, 2026
By creating an account or using Marquee, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
Marquee lets you track TV shows, movies, and football fixtures, and see when they're airing on a personal calendar. Show, movie, and fixture information comes from third-party sources (TMDB, football-data.org) and may occasionally be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate — we don't guarantee its accuracy.
Accounts
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with Google. You're responsible for keeping access to your email/Google account secure, since that's what controls access to Marquee. We block disposable email addresses and duplicate-account attempts to keep the free plan fair for everyone.
Plans and billing
- Free plan: track up to 3 shows/movies at a time, and up to 5 distinct shows within any rolling 30-day period.
- Plus plan: unlimited tracking and calendar sync, billed monthly or yearly via Stripe.
- If you cancel Plus, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. Once that period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan and — importantly — all of your tracked shows are removed, since Free has lower limits than Plus. You'll need to re-add shows under the Free plan's rules.
- All payments are processed by Stripe; refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent the free-plan limits (e.g. creating multiple accounts via email aliases).
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service beyond normal personal use.
- Use Marquee for any unlawful purpose.
Disclaimer of warranties
Marquee is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that third-party air-date information will always be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Marquee isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. [This section in particular needs jurisdiction-specific legal review before launch.]
Termination
You can stop using Marquee and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Marquee is offered worldwide, but is operated from Munich, Germany, and any disputes will be resolved under German law. [If you plan to actively target users in a specific country long-term, have counsel confirm whether that country's consumer protection law overrides this clause for those users.]
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top of this page if these terms change.
